Well I have been planning a tattoo for years. The problem is, my vision of what I want and the artist with the ability to draw it have not come together. Although I hesitate to share my idea because its MINE, I do want to get the word out, maybe an artist will read this, maybe a reader will know a capable artist, but I’d pay for this to be drawn up to my exact desire. I have an artist I am fairly sure understands my idea, but again, getting it down on paper will be a different story. So the elements I want this tattoo contain are here.

Taking this exact perspective I would want the ‘meat’ of the tattoo to be put on the ‘flat’ side of the calf, aka the outside. Lovely work here especially on the hair.

The next is just a photo but I show it for a good reason. I want my final product to take on this Funhouse mirror elongation. I want the resulting tattoo that I place on the flat side of my calf to appear to be elongated and only slightly distorted, much like you would see in the reflection of a spoon.

So what do I want that has this freakish creepy and nearly frightening aspect to it? The Four Horsemen. I’d like to have all four riding abreast and there to be no doubt that the earth beneath their feet is churning. I want this piece that is created to look like someone drew the perfect picture of the Four Horsemen just before they were mowed down by them. But I want it like they drew it in silly putty, then grabbed both ends and pulled until it stretched and twisted just SLIGHTLY! Just FYI! I will pay up to 100 dollars for an 8 x 10 sketch of this to an artist that can show me previous Four Horsemen work! But some of the ideas closest to mine are below.

Much the perspective I desire of a frontal view, but I want the concentration on the horses slightly more than the riders. After all, the riders themselves will be the part that suffers from the most elongating effects. The view as I stated, should be a little more ‘under the horse’ right before said trampling. The riders upper bodies and heads will trail into the distortion, towards the knee area where the tattoo will stop.

A bit better in the format I want to see my four horses, muscular and shading applied, and most important, in color.

Although this last picture isn’t good for much on my perspective it does capture a couple of very important things that I want in MY tattoo and my sketch! War is on a red horse, pestilence of course has a horse that suffers from well, pestilence, and all of those important details about the four horsemen and their beast are incorporated in this picture. Again although the artwork in the horsemen will not be as clear because it will be funhouse warped by that height in the tattoo, the detail on the horses makes it of utter importance so that we know whose twisted head sits on whose horse.

Again, the two most important perspectives I am looking for inside of all this chaos, is that the horses should be drawn from the perspective of a hoof about to trample your face, with the riders themselves trailing into the far away. I want anyone looking at this sketch and the subsequent tattoo, to feel like the four horsemen came for them specifically :) Lovely idea for a lady I know, but this has been in my head for about 20 years now, and I will not allow myself another tattoo until I get this one. Help!

Make sense? To the exact right artist it will!

I have been looking for quite a few very feminine pieces for a post and think I have found just the remedy I needed for my skin ink fix in this department. Although I am loathe to admit that some art is definitely ladies only it is just a fact. However, those pieces that were created with women in mind are also some of the greatest pieces of skin art I have laid my eyes on in many years of repeatedly laying my eyes on tattoos.

This is absolutely one of my favs. The cherry blossom remains a ladies only (mostly) tattoo these days and it is clear to see by looking here exactly why. The colors and tones on this lovely tree scream lady to me.

The butterfly is always a top ladies choice in skin ink but it takes a special one to get my attention. The simplicity here is what I enjoy over the colors or location regardless.

This is an incredibly sensual tattoo. But then, by now if you know me you will know that I am thoroughly impressed by artist who utilize the natural curves of the female body to create these impressive works of art.
